Health Canada confirms Lallemand Health Solutions’ strain L. plantarum Rosella can support female health by vaginal application

Lallemand Health Solutions is pleased to announce that Health Canada has officially recognized the efficacy of probiotic strain, L. plantarum Rosella[1], in supporting women’s health by vaginal application[2]. Health Canada has granted specific health claims for L. plantarum Rosella:

  • Helps to improve vaginal (microbiome) health in women with a history of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC)/recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (rVVC).
  • Reduces clinical signs (redness, swelling) of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC)/ recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC).
  • Helps in recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (rVVC).
  • Helps treat recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (rVVC) as an adjuvant to antimicrobial.
